Committees
The Saginaw County Sports Hall of Fame operates under the committee system. Each committee performs their duties and reports back to the Board of Directors for final approval. The Committees are made up of members of the Board of Directors, and any other voting members who choose to help. The President of the Board of Directors serves as a de facto member of each committee without a vote.
BALLOT SUGGESTION COMMITTEE
This committee's duties consist of researching the nominated names for induction, and preparing for final approval by the Board each year's ballot (number of candidates, number to be elected) to be mailed to the voters. Also, to recommend any teams/contributors for approval by the full Board of Directors. This committee is also charged with contacting each inductee, and making them aware of their honor. Also members of committee will handle each inductee's needs (tickets, special needs, who will accept, speaches, etc...). This committee will meet in December, January, and February to perform their ballot duties.

ATHLETE AWARDS, MEDIA AND HONOR BANQUET COMMITTEE
This committee's duties consist of arranging the media conference, contacting the media with whatever information we wish to have announced and inviting media members to the media conference, and preparing media packets. Also this committee puts together our honors banquet including coordinating plaques, tickets, and video. Also works with printers on program/bio, pictures and letters.

FUND RAISING COMMITTEE
This committee is in charge of golf outing/raffles/advertising/ and all other fund raising. Works with printer on advertising for program.

This committee handles our banking, and all financial matters. They also keep a count of our voting membership, and maintain our website. Also responsible for getting mail from PO Box.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE
This committee keeps a list of candidates nominated by Board Members to serve on our Board of Directors. Whenever there is an opening on our Board, this committee will meet and recommend replacements.
